It's always been a challenge, but then I learned to enjoy watching her mental gears (or should I use a less mechanical metaphor?) kick in, and that "ah, yes!" moment when she sees the path to the solution.

And that's a good practice. I learned to think of ways to put suggestions into discussion without sounding like a teacher who knows everything (which I was, in previous life, or at least my students thought (that I was thinking) so).
