Well, I didn't say that 2000 was the start of a millennium. I just said it makes more sense to make a big deal out of it. I agree that the 60's went from 60-69. Any 10 year period is a decade. Any 1000 year period is a millennium. That means that every new year starts a new millennium. Since our starting point is arbitrary, there's no significance to any year. However, 2001 is the start of the third millennium since that arbitrary starting point.
