>Hi all, just picked up a second hand HP Proliant ML330 G6 server and would like some advice as to what version of Windows Server to put on it, it has esxi on it at the moment but I don't have time to mess about with virtual machine setups - any suggestions welcome. BTW it has four sas drives setup in a RAID 5 array

If it must be Windows then use Server 2012 R2. If not, there are other choices such as Linux, HP has supported certain Linux flavours on their servers for some time.

If you can afford the reduction in available disk space you might consider converting the array to RAID10 before installing any new OS. You can Google [raid 10 vs raid 5 4 disk].
