No, intranet is not the same thing as internet, the former is private e.g. a company website on a private network/LAN. I know for sure that setting doesn't apply to internet sites, it's enabled on my system (the IE11 default) and I still have had to manually add some Internet sites to make them work properly.

Now I'm wondering whether IE10 actually has the same thing as IE11 and Dmitry also misinterpreted it.
