Although I share your high regard of doctors I am ready to pitch mine. The diagnosis I received should have been made 6 months ago. For some reason she didn't want to do a blood test last fall. This time, with specific symptoms, blood work was done and turned up diabetes. She also does not explain things well. She really doesn't explain things at all. My sister had to walk me through how to use the blood monitor, from having watched our dad use it. The doc just handed me the box. "Here." It's time for a new doctor. I have always preferred female doctors, and that may not change. Now that I know I have serious health issues it is something I am going to take seriously.
