>And even though we own a gun in our home, I realize that carry-conceal doesn't stop everything. This is embarrassing to admit, but over a year ago I was walking through downtown Mechanicsburg at night and got mugged. Cold-cocked from behind, 2 guys knocked me out, and I never saw it coming. Even if I had been carrying a weapon (which I don't), it wouldn't have made a difference.
I presume that local handling would include jurisdiction about carry - how would you travel through such changing rules if going by car and trying to follow the rules ?
Not a rhetoric question, as a foreigner I only have a dim idea on what is handled at which level in the states.
