If that's the message we're sending to alcoholics then it's no wonder they'll choose to do something that makes them feel good for a little while.
In some cases, you bet.
There are many different contexts here. For someone going through a detoxification process, someone in the midst of a serious physical addiction....telling them they made a stupid call is not going to do anyone any good.
