You prove the point: Since other causes are more frequent we should not do anything about it. No matter from which angle I look at it, its stupid.

>Talking to you is like throwing a rubber ball against a wall, no matter how cogent or well researched an answer is, because it is an extremely emotional issue with you, you will NEVER consider the alternative. You just show your ignorance by being intractable and not looking at the logic of other positions. Good

Almost all the rest of the world is showing the alternative for your gun problem, and they are very successful in achieving dramatically less gun deaths. Its exactly the opposite from what you are claiming. Its the american public that is blind from statistics, research and reason. As long as the public is told about stories where guns save lives, but don't tell you that for each such story there are 40 stories telling the exact opposite, you are sticking your head in the sand.

As for blindness.... we have our faults too... In the Netherlands when you ride a bike, you'll almost never see a dutchman wearing those cycling helmets. The only ones wearing them are foreigners while statistics show that many deaths could have been prevented by wearing one. It is not in our culture. That is also stupidity !!

John, lets face it, your arguments are pretty flawed and you know it. We both know this matter has nothing to do with logic and reason, its culture and not to forget the gun lobby that will make it tremendously difficult to change it.... but that does not make it right... does it ?

How many victims have to fall for the might bucks of the gun lobby ?? You tell me...
