Craig,

Some good points here, but I think this is a bit overwrought. For example, the problems that appeared when people rolled clocks forward might have been caused by moving the clocks forward rather than moving them past 2000. What happens when you move clocks forward to December, 1999? In my case, Outlook tells me that I have about 200 appointments that I've missed. Also, the fact that these organizations are moving the clocks ahead now is an indication that these problems will probably not happen in 2000.

The scariest thing is probably what will happen in other countries. That and the fact that we just don't know what will happen here or abroad.

I just hope people will prepare calmly and not panic. Wouldn't it be a shame if the worst thing that happened was that people unnecessarily paniced and caused financial upheaval and riots by taking all their money out of banks and trying to stockpile food and other supplies.
