>>Obama again: “The United States does not have a monopoly on crazy people. It's not the only country that has psychosis... and yet we kill each other in these mass shootings at rates that are exponentially higher than anyplace else. Well, what's the difference? The difference is, is that these guys can stack up a bunch of ammunition in their houses. And that's sort of par for the course.”

>You're quoting a man whose Justice Department ran guns to the sinister Mexican Drug Lords and has blood on their hands....and whose CIA ran weapons to Al-Q in Syria....whose administration is responsible for a crisis at our southern border with large numbers of children being allowed to risk their lives to make their way across central America unaccompanied by adults (anyone wondering how this started???)....and finally, whose administration released over 36,000 criminal illegal aliens in 2013. (many of them for felonies)

I'm blank on that one. I realise that I don't know what I don't know (unknown, unknowns). There are strong forces beyond the control of the president, and therefore no single president can force things through. Whether you go a democrat or republican, they are in many ways just the pupet of strong underlying (geo) politics and commercial interests of influencal parties.

>Given the circumstances, Barack Obama couldn't possibly be a less credible source. The only thing the U.S. has a monopoly on is an apocalyptically dangerous president.

I doubt if any other president would be less dangerous, as they inherit danger when they enter office.

>You're also quoting a man who is either distorting (or lying) about the numbers. No one number tells the entire statistic, as stated by FactCheck.org

That in itself, does not invalidate his statment.

Not sure what to extract from that. Causes of rising or falling trends are always difficult to analyse. Long term (decades) averages and trends tell a whole lot more, esspecially when comparing to other nations.
