The function seems to be blazingly fast (or my machine is, even with a 4-year-old processor). I have lots of tables with years of text stored in memos, and when I need to find something,

browse for atc("blabla", mymemo)>0 or atc("bla bla", mymemo)>0

executes in a microjiffy, even with a fpt file of a few hundred megabytes. The best poor man's search engine.
