Good points... From what I read, it seems to me that two technical problems are major:
1. There are many electronic chips in all kind of electronic devices (that are not considered computers or controled by computers) that will not work after Y2K. Nobody can provide a list of these chips or a list of all equipments that are using them.
2. Many systems cannot be rolled over Y2K, so, no real test is possible. Even those that can be/was tested like that cannot be tested in the global Y2K environment.
And one "moral" problem: Even if your financial institution/ phone company/etc will assure you that they don't have any Y2K problem... there's absolutely no warranty that this is true! :))
