Hi Roy:

I'm with Craig on this, it's the opportunity to switch to a real source code tool.

- Forget about checking out files exclusively and blocking other members to edit concurrently same components (as in other languages)
- Forget about SourceSafe database corruption and the need to run a checking on the night because it take hours
- More important, forget about SourceSafe! There are many known people on Internet already saying this!

You could switch SCM tool and begin working with something much powerful, do things with your code that you think are impossible to do right now, start using the merge operation on all FoxPro components and don't limit yourself to just Diff and see differences, as always was the SourceSafe history with Fox.

If you are interested in learning something new and don't mind using some days testing this, I recommend you try PlasticSCM (the best SCM tool I know so far) that is a commercial tool but free to use up to 15 members. I use it from last year.

Take a look at this YouTube video I've done (more info at the bottom of the video)
Oh, and go for a coffe first ;-)

I could bring you some help and tips to kick in, if yo want.

Best regards.-
