>>You don't have to convince me of the problems prior to AHCA. But the problem of our president is sweeping legislation that only makes matters worse - and then he picks and chooses which parts of the law to enforce, to coincide with elections.

How about health insurance meaning what it ought- which is that if an unexpected event occurs, you're covered. That used not to be the case in the US, which was why medical bills were such a prevalent cause of middle class bankruptcy. I'm not sure whether everybody realizes that being covered for sudden medical catastrophe is an *expectation* elsewhere in the world and now it can be in the US too. IMHO the importance of this single point is gigantic, and ought to be one of the reasons for which Obama is remembered even if others succeed in sabotaging the concept.

>>"Blaming Obama" is not easy - it's required. Zero credibility and zero project management experience. Anyone with business acumen would have started with targeted legislation around pre-existing conditions. What he and his advocates jammed through would never fly in one billion years as a workable software project plan - so why would any different result be expected here?

Preexisting conditions are important but actually they also exist in insurance schemes elsewhere and are not the cause of the US middle class bankruptcies- try funding caps or resilements for those. Perhaps we can agree that the lawyers and parasites who swarmed over the bankrupt unfortunates and their families after Billy needed a transplant, now will have to find something more constructive to work at. And ordinary parents won't be reduced to selling the farm to try to pay for Jane's care. On a social level, the value of these concepts is inestimable if you want a focused happy middle class growing their small businesses and employing others.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
