Your first part of the message indicates something with the cache. Is this in reference to the background image? If not, this mention would then be related to the rest of the message where you mention that Chrome is unable to display the page. Can you tell me which page it is? There are several pages that are loaded at first (toolbar, left side, treeview, message, right side). Any image that would represent all that would be appreciated. When you get the 404 error, I would really need an image on that one. Also, I would need the URL that triggered it and it possible the source code of where the URL was clicked from. There could be connection issue here resulting in an incomplete page being received. All this can be sent by email.

I just got the Map feature to work in Chrome so I can now see the message where you asked loads of questions which I had not seen before (or forgot all about). I'll se Chrome for a while and see if I get any problems again.
Frank.
