O.K. I full agree to the part with the search. As well to the desktop. Metro screen, the part you reach with the down arrow is a bit like a cluttered desktop. Thats what I dislike on it. To look for something I have no idea how to search (Somthing is not in my first lang, so I have trouble there :) ).
While I'm able to arange stuff there i'm not willing to do it. It's a waist of time I can spend with friends.
Win key on Win8.1 will open up the start menu and give instant access to the same search as metro provides. Without the visual break. This is done by Classic Shell :) I realy love it. Best of both worlds.
I do not use the desktop on a regular base. Since I can move Sart Menu on top of all it's good enough.

I think we can stop here. It's a matter of taste anyway.
