>>I have been rewatching "Hill Street Blues."
>
>That was a great show, wasn't it?
>Last night I watched episode 1, season 1 of the classic "Columbo" with Peter Falk.
>When they rolled the credits at the end, I was surprised to see that Steven Bochco had written it and Steven Spielberg had directed it.
>The writing and directing were flawless. Some of the dialog "Oh, sir.. just one thing.." carried on thru the end of the series.
>Pretty good way to start off for all concerned, wasn't it?
Along with the rumpled raincoat, Columbo's "Oh, one more thing" on the way out the door was his signature trait. It was "borrowed" from a detective in "Crime and Punishment".
