The same majority took one more step in a carefully orchestrated process of gradually rolling back decades of hard-earned progress by labor unions. I agree that for decades, unions served a critical role in the U.S. You wouldn't have public safety and worker safety laws without them.
But today, they are far too much of a political power grab and need to be cut down a size.
I guess the question is, is it reasonable that non-union members should pay union dues for negotiating costs where they won't gain benefit.
