No, you can't turn this off all of HTML is based on tags found inside < > If you View Source on the page as you browse it you'll get a clearer understanding of what's going on. Although View Source in Netscape4 is extremely hard since there's no way wordwrap the display. It's much easier in IE4 which just pops the page into Notepad.
