Maybe I should have excluded Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky who wrote in the early 20th century.
Their music might be too schmaltzy for future generations, but I like it. Rachmaninoff's "Second" is on one of my classical music playlists.
Also love the maddening pace of some of Franz Liszt's pieces. In a prior lifetime I could play most of La Campanella, until my first sign of mortality (hands just don't work the way they used to). I also like some of Chopin and I really like Greig.
Mixed views on Tchaikovsky and Mozart.
Not a fan of Beethoven, and you can take the entire Baroque period and toss it in the ocean. Can't stand Bach :)
