>Mike, I do not mean to be a jackass, but I am going to give you some tough love. You really aren't going to rehab - from this response, I can tell that you are just thinking about it. You are still giving yourself an out - either you can't afford the $995 per day or no place will take you or it is raining or some other lame excuse.

When you are actually on your way to be admitted, come back and tell us that you are going to rehab. Until then, I, for one, do not believe it. I do believe that you think you really mean it this time, but you know what they say about the road to hell...

Marcia, I generally agree. That's part of why I asked if he has someone living with him - he really needs someone to be there and ride him and get on his case.

I was going to post something before, then decided not to, but now I am. Call me silly and nutty for this - but I remember an old Flintstones episode where Fred had to lose a bunch of weight. He joined Food Anonymous - and there was this geeky old man who followed Fred wherever he went, and anytime Fred would try to sneak a bronto burger, the geeky old man from F.A. would appear from out of nowhere and grab the bronto burger and yell out, "goink , goink, goink" at Fred. Fred couldn't even look at unhealthy food for weeks without that old man appearing. I think Mike needs someone there with him.
