I know that sounds ridiculous but we have talked a lot and I know she is interested in me too. We both know what the life is like. Alkies know each other in a way that non-alkies can't (lucky them). One of the guys in my group said at a meeting that he tells us things he has never told his wife. It's like a secret society. She has been sober for 4 years. Obviously I have to sober up to have any chance with her. Her name is Jane.

The older one is coming down today. The younger one, who recently returned from Prague, is back in Madison. They both still love me and that is what keeps me going. My small immediate family is far flung, all at least a thousand miles away. Allie (the older daughter) says your family makes mom's family seem very normal.
