>I have lots of reasons to want to see Argentina win, but on behalf of all the first cousins of my late wife in Bavaria, I'm hoping that Germany takes it.
>We spent many happy evenings with her cousins in biergartens throughout Bavaria. I can only imagine what those biergartens will look like tonight.
>Go Deutschland!
Congrats Deutschland.
That is difficult for a dutchman to say, but non-theless its deserved. OTOH I think it was very close. Argentina had a few good opportunities to win and proved a very tough opponent, just a the Dutch found out in the semi finals.
All in all numbers 1,2 and 3 of this WC are in the same leage and I feel the outcome could well be different in about any order. No 4, brasil, was definately not up to the same level (went down 1-7 against Germany and 0-3 against the dutch).
The thing I do not understand it that the golden ball went to Lionel Messi. He was virtually invisible the last two matches and you could see he was not fit yesterday. As opposed to Arjan Robben who was decisive and man of the match of all matches he played. Seeing on 3rd place makes you wonder the reasoning behind the selection.
