We are trying to convert over from an old file server which had Novell running on it to a Linux Ubuntu server via samba. My coworker got our VFP exe running on the server, but it seems as though sparatic freezes are occuring when testing with one user back and forth on the same two records. When he watches the utilizations and such on the Linux server it shows nothing to give an idea as to what is randomly hanging it up. Has anyone ever ran into this before and could give us some good tweaks or ideas to try to get our VFP program running smoother than it does on Novell on an older server? Thanks in advance.
