>>You have missed the point I am expressing concern about. I am not defending Hamas. I am not attacking the IDF. I am lamenting the staggering destruction of life which is mainly (by far) affecting the Palestinians and mainly civilians. And I'm complaining about the unequal reporting of the conflict in mainstream western press. There are no innocent combatants in this conflict, there are only victims. I shall leave it there.

>OK, you stated you agreed with Jean's statements. I offered explanations as to why. I'm not saying you're defending or attacking anyone (though I do have a major beef with American media portraying Israel as scum).
Jean commented about the orders of magnitude difference in death toll on the Palestinian civilian side vs. the Israeli civilian side. I commented: "I am in agreement with you Jean. The destruction against the Palestinian civilian populace is beyond the pale.". My comment concerns the Palestinian civilian population. I don't see American media portraying Israel as scum. I am seeing a growing shock, or surprise, at the extent of destruction and death toll on the Palestinian side.
