>Nothing can ever unwind what happened to the Jewish people in the 1930s and 1940s. (And before and since). That doesn't excuse the constantly aggressive actions of Israel. Armed to the teeth, courtesy of the U.S., they are belligerent aggressors against a poor people who don't even have a place to call their own. Jerusalem is the birthplace of three of the world's great religions and Israel claims it as their own.
I was trying hard to stay out of this conversation, but ...
Show me evidence of Israel as an aggressor, as opposed to a vigorous defender of its land and people. Understand that the current Israeli government isn't the one I would have chosen, and that I think they make mistakes. (In fact, I think these days Israel never misses the opportunity to make mistakes in how it presents its case to the world.) But show me where they start something.
As for Jerusalem, I'm sure you know that before the '67 war, when the holy sites were held by Jordan, Jews were unable to visit them. Israel has opened them up to the world.
