>>I have just upgraded my XP laptop to W732bit and am reinstalling VFP. I have tried to apply SP2, extracting the 4 required files (plus the readme); have renamed the existing ones and replaced with new ones. On starting VFP I am getting a Resource File Version Mismatch error. If I replace the VFP9.EXE file with the old one (but keeping the new SP2 dlls) it opens OK - but I am sure this will lead to problems. I have removed the SP2 files and repeated the exercise but no success. As this is effectively a new PC and this is the initial install I can not see how I can have any rogue DLLs.

Hi Tore
I don't think this is a foxuser.dbf issue. I did try deleting both it and the associated fpt file. VFP will not start - after the Resource File Version Mismatch error another error message says "Visual FoxPro cannot start. Can not load resources."
