>Good point. Based on what I've seen - every time the USA sticks it nose in the middle east - bad things end up happening. We support one group because they're supposedly ot as bad as another group - then later they end up using the weapons we gave them against us...or some other group ends up in control that was worse than how it was when we started. I suspect if the USA were to destroy Hamas that something worse would emerge as a result. So right now we're sending weapons to Israel in an effort to bring peace to the region. Yeah it's as stupid as it sounds.

I think we have to stay involved in the Middle East to check the many rogue states from getting too far out of control. Trying futilely to broker peace is another matter. To me it would be great if we got out of that business.
