We support one group because they're supposedly ot as bad as another group - then later they end up using the weapons we gave them against us...or some other group ends up in control that was worse than how it was when we started. I suspect if the USA were to destroy Hamas that something worse would emerge as a result. So right now we're sending weapons to Israel in an effort to bring peace to the region. Yeah it's as stupid as it sounds.

When you get a crop of politicians in highest places who didn't get (or have to get) approved by AIPAC, there'll be a chance for peace. But I'm putting a carriage in front of the horse.
