Crony Capitalism/mooching undermines and destroys in real life. Doesn't matter whether the perpetrators pretend to be Apparatchiks or 1%ers, the result is the same. See, KG would be proud of me now. ;-)
Personally, I have no problem with Idaho protecting its farmers as long as everybody is honest about it. It's happening anyway under a shroud of sanctimony which is where the moochers always multiply. Consumers end up paying more, moochers get unnaturally rewarded and incentives for providers to excel are systematically mooched, an accusation that usually is leveled at Socialist states but is equally true of a Moocher state.
Theorizing seems less interesting IMHO unless it matches what the animal actually does in real life.
