There is a part of me that wonders how big a role Jonathan Winters had in keeping Robin 'level'. Jonathan had his own bouts with depression, even to the point of checking himself into a facility, and losing Jonathan last year could have helped contribute to Robin's depression. He often said he 'idolized' Jonathan Winters and his comedy. It's sad that some of our most brilliant comic minds also battle with manic-depression, alcohol/drug dependencies and self-destructive habits. It's almost as if the Universe says "Comedy is easy - it's life that'll be hard"
