Don't remember whether you're getting knees or hips, but from the people I know who've had joint replacement, they'll have you pretty busy pretty fast. Hope the surgery goes well and that your recovery is rapid and complete. FWIW, I've heard over and over and seen with people I know that those who take the prescribed painkillers have the best outcomes. That is, that you need the painkillers to allow you to do the PT that gives you the best results.
Thanks for the good wishes. It is my left hip. Believe me, I have no problem taking the pain killers - I have zero pain tolerance and I am the world's biggest baby when it comes to pain. I know some people are worried about getting addicted but I am not. If I get addicted, I'll go to rehab when the pain goes away {g}. I am really going to push myself with the PT because I want to see everyone again in October at SWFox!
