Wish you best of luck. A good friend of mine, woman about 70, had to have both hips replaced. She told the doctor, do both of them at once, I'm only doing this once!!!.... She was self-medicating for the pain, but recovered quickly and is like a young girl again. So I wish you luck and speedy recovery.
Thanks, John. I can't even imagine having both hips done at once. At joint camp they told us that we would only be allowed to put 60 pounds of pressure on the side with the replacement. I have been weight training to prepare - lots of upper body stuff (so I can deal with the walker) and stuff to strengthen the abductors before the surgery.
