John,

Huge number of fonts? Creating OLE objects and not getting rid of them (yes, you can only get about 10 copies of Word running before the machine flakes out *LOL*). Try running the Resource Meter C:\WINDOWS\RSRCMTR.EXE

>Something interesting happened to me this weekend. I was working on an application for several hours straight when VFP6 up and hung on me in the middle of Form Designer. This app does not use any ActiveX controls nor was any other application running (I like to run clean when developing).

>So, I shut down VFP (had to!) and, to be safe, shut down and rebooted the PC. Went back to work. Several hours later VFP bombed again, this time while editing some class method code. This time, the entire system went unstable and I had to reboot.

>While waiting for the thing to come up again, I glanced at the clock. It appears that the time from VFP startup to "hangup" was almost the same between the two incidents.

>Mind you, I was working on an application so I was opening and closing various Designers and other VFP tools...just a typical development session.
