My dad got his hip replaced a few years ago. Stubborn old farmer that he is, he pushed himself too much, slipped and fell, and popped his hip out days after replacement. He spent several minutes screaming as loud as he could on the floor and had to go back into the hospital for a few days. Moral of the story: listen to your doctor.

Ouch! I don't think I am going to be trying to run any marathons after I get home from the hospital. I am just going to push myself with the PT. I am sure that my doctor will tell me when too much is not just enough {g}.
