I have an application where I connect my Android Samsung to pc via USB cable. I then use the modem function to send Txt messages
I do this and send about 100 messages every month.
The only problem I have encountered is that the connection is very fussy and sometimes I have to plug in the usb cable several times before my pc recognises there is a modem attached as well.
