Sometimes you and I seem to be seeing the same thing.
Probably not now.
Your perspective on this seems focused on the recipients - somehow in your view, mere accident of birth should not give them dibs on the family fortune.
The other perspective is that it is the wealth belongs to the one that earned it, and he can do any worthy or stupid thing he chooses with it.
If I were wealthy (wish!) and wanted to raise a generation of spoiled celebutards, I can't see how that is any of your business?
I already paid taxes when the money was earned, so if I choose to spend my final years dissipating my fortune on hookers and blow so there is no estate left, that deserves to only be taxed once?
But if I choose to live frugally because I want to leave a large estate to my kids (celebutards or not), that deserves to be taxed twice?
What horrible thing would I have to do to deserve to be taxed 3 times?
