Well... you don't NEED to purchase Web Connection... it's just one of those times you ask yourself...

How long would it take me to write the framework, and all the tools, and functionality I can get by buying WC for $200? That's about 3 or 4 hours of a programmers time to a company that has them on staff.

You have to fugure, that, any of the code you will be writting is already in WC. There is stuff that you might WANT to do, but don't have time, that is already in WC. And, there are things I am sure you haven't thought of that are in WC.

So, tell me, how could you do database development for the web WITHOUT wc?
