I wasn't a Bush fan (neither of him or his son). The story is a bit complicated, as both the Senate and House were controlled by Dems, and Bush gave in on a compromise deal regarding the budget. I'm not defending Bush - the situation affected his trustworthiness, and probably contributed to him losing to Clinton in 1992.

But between the Bush broken promise, and the Obama broken promise, Obama's is far, far more dishonest. Bush may (or may not) have intended to keep that promise but caved on a compromise - whereas there's already proof that Obama was lying through his teeth. No comparison.
