Unbelievably good television --

Ken Burns has a new documentary about the Roosevelt family coming up. He was on the Letterman show. Of course he was touting it but what was striking was how much both of them are fascinated with history. Dave actually held his own with the best documentary maker of our time (IMO). I have said this before -- Dave is on his final lap now and when he's gone there isn't going to be another one like him. Another recent guest was Kathy Griffin, the potty mouthed Chicago comedienne. The sparks were flying between the two of them. Tell me Jay Leno could do that. Not on the best day of his life.
