What I do is use GENDBC to create a .prg of the database. I then copy the code that references my views underlying table properties (picture, format, default value, caption, etc.) into a new .prg. Replace table name with view name and run.

>Does anyone know a way of retrieving the underlying table field captions for use in a view, e.g. my base table has a field claim_ref with a caption of 'Claim Reference', but this not handed down to the view when it's used in a grid. I've tried various methods using dbgetprop() etc.. but without a great deal of success ( e.g. it bombs with calculated fields )
