Well I'm obviously rather rusty on my pedagogy, and come to think of it, all the drunks whom I knew had the decency to go down somewhere beyond my horizon (I think perhaps one is still alive, just equally invisible), so I don't have any serious experience in dealing with them. So I guess the bare-facts-in-your-face type of argument is just as ineffective as any other. I better get back to ignoring his spiritous threads.
