There have been reports for several days now that the cop suffered an eye socket fracture. Washington Post claims they have a source with inside information on the medical report.

(Personally, I rarely believe a word that comes from Fox news, unless a more reputable conservative source/analyst backs it, like Commentary, Legal Insurrection, Judicial Watch, Weekly Standard, Brit Hume, etc.)

CNN also claims they have a source that says the medical report doesn't say that - that while Brown suffered some minor injuries to the face, there was no eye socket fracture.

Don't know this for a fact, but supposedly the grand jury has the medical report and there was an order to keep it sealed. So you know that old line...those who know the truth aren't saying, and those who are saying are probably speculating and don't necessarily know the truth.

To me, there's only one scenario where the cop doesn't get indicted.....if Brown made a physical attempt for the cop's gun (which would constitute attempted murder in many states), AND if the cop suffered an eye fracture, AND Brown was indeed running back towards the officer.

Also, if the toxicology report comes back with specific information, you can bet that will be used. There's speculation (of course, there's tons of speculation right now) that Brown might have had PCP in his system. A certain "drug of choice" is cigars, hollowed out, filled with marijuana, and then dipped in PCP. If they find PCP in his system and the cop continues with the narrative that Brown charged back...and the jury believes it...I think the cop will walk.

Anything less than what I described, and I think it's likely they'll indict.

I don't mind Sharpton going out and trying to calm the community - it's when he decides to convict someone in the court of public opinion that I have a big problem.
