I did not absolve him of responsibility or suggest to pander to him (although responsibility is actually a far more complex issue than you probably imagine but one which I have no time or desire to debate with you). I said there is no point to mock him or level scorn at him in a public forum, or even privately. But maybe you're right - everyone should mock and joke at his expense - that is certainly the more effective approach.
