Actually I wasn't going to say very much until this recent B.S. about alcohol fostering the creative process, the empty lecturing to Mike Cole ("wait until you get older"), and this notion that a person's needs are what they have "going for them".
All of them are rooted in the same issue - that he's making excuses for not getting better.
And your concern about him "getting better" in time for the conference - a real head-scratcher there, JR...
