>>>>>>>>>I am going into rehab whenever the call comes. One of the things I think I have going for me is my love of music. Here is yet another one from perhaps the most underappreciated rock bands of all time. Lowell George was another one gone too soon. It was cancer that got him.

>>>>>>>>Mike, I want you to listen closely.
>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>I love jazz. I love college hoops and football. Few people live and die emotionally with their teams like I do. But I love them as a spectator, because they satisfy a vital human need, inspire us, give us heroes to admire, and allow us to see human achievement. I love going to jazz clubs in NYC because I get to see a some hungry musicians bring down the house. For nearly 30 years I've gone to bed almost every night with my earbuds on, listening to Miles Davis, because it helps me fall asleep.
>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>But a person shouldn't base what they have going for them on what their NEEDS are.
>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>It's what a person CAN DO that defines what they have going for them. So cold as this sounds, start showing you can do something beyond defending booze as a means of creativity and scoring harlots /Cross-eyes Marys
>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>Don't you even dare say that about her. She is a very nice, bright woman who is doing a great job of raising a daughter by herself. She had a horrible childhood and fell into her profession out of necessity. She is back on her feet and has her life straightened out. I would marry her in a minute. Please don't be a judgmental a-hole with preconceptions.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>But meanwhile your happy to let her s___g you for cash.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Its not a profession its prostitution. A profession is being a doctor or a lawyer or a check at person at the shop.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Why don't you just give her money and send her on her way Mike instead of taking advantage of her problem.
>>>>>
>>>>>hmmm, prostitution *IS* a profession up here. They are paying taxes just like we are.
>>>>>
>>>>>Walter,
>>>>
>>>>So Walter is it a career choice you would be happy for your family members to take.
>>>
>>>That is irrelevant. Prostitution by law is a profession and is being taxed accordingly.
>>>I do not like my family to run a coffeeshop (The type where they sell things stronger than coffee), being a nude model, a lawyer defending criminals, etc either.
>>>
>>>OTOH, I do respect people making a conscious decision to do so.

>>Yes while the Dutch like to wrap their prostitution in the "its legal so its ok" flag the reality on the ground is somewhat different.
>>
>>"In 2008, Karina Schaapman, a former prostitute and former member of the Amsterdam city council, produced a report about the Amsterdam sex trade. She offered the police a Facebook with 80 "violent pimps", of whom only three were Dutch-born. She said that more than 75% of Amsterdam's 8,000 to 11,000 prostitutes were from Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.[6][7]"
>
>Yes, there is a lot of criminal activity around prostitution. However prostitution *is* legal and therefore considered a profession. Whether it is moral and whether they choose this occupation voluntarily is a total different question. A large percentage has been forced into it. Others, more on the call girl model, have chosen for it themselves.
>
>Again whether it is ok, is not my judgement call, it is reality that you cannot ban prostitution very much like you cannot win the war against drugs. If there is a demand, there will be supply, legal or not. The Dutch have decided to accept it and therefore have more control over the criminal activities associated with it.
>
>Just like drugs, I have never felt the desire to visit a prostitute, and I would not like any of my family getting involved with those, but they are a reality in our and also your society. How you deal with it is the question though.

Mt own choice would be not criminalise the prostitutes driving them underground but to hit the users of the prostitutes very hard.
