I have a compound index which is not used as SQL Server decides to use solo index instead. In order to see exactly what it would need so to use a more optimized index, I have to remove those solo index until the execution plan shows me in green the recommanded index. Would there be a way to force a SQL to be executed and telling it not to use specific index until it would be able to show in green in the execution plan the recommanded index?
