I am using VFP 7.0 SP 1. ( I didn't buy VFP 9.0 when I had the chance so if anyone know where I can buy one...).

I have a client who has users in 3 different locations. Given the environment, it's safe to assume that they all have network access. I am not strong in web development than I am in VFP desktop develop so having said that...For the sake of urgency and time, I need to ensure my desktop vfp application can do the following:

a. Check to see if there's connectivity to the internet.
b. If there is connection, have them to remotely connect to a shared database (vfp or SQL).

I'm sure there are holes and questions to my inquiry. I welcome them all. Again, I am not as strong in web development. I assume that I can setup a VfP dbc database on a server and leave it up and running. That could be a standalone laptop I reckon.

Let's have it all...what am I missing, LOL...
Thanks in Advance.
