You can use this 3rd party tool to extract the contents of PDF files (as well as lots of other functionality). Works very well with VFP. Not free but very powerful and high quality solution.

A cheaper solution is Ultra Shareware PDF (most common Docs really) to Text Extractor. Also works fine with VFP.
