What kind of thrid-party litsbox you're proposing? It would not be a native VFP listbox and using an ActiveX will not be a good solution.

Also, the multi-select requirement was not stated in the original question.

To me, this is a simple choice: either rich functionality of the grid which can be make similar to a listbox or listbox with its limitations and no colors.
